Meditation: The Art of Harmonizing Mind and Body
Meditation can be defined as aligning our brain and subconscious mind with the frequency of the universe. When we are awake, our brain operates at the beta frequency, whereas during meditation and deep relaxation, it operates at the alpha frequency. The alpha frequency is the frequency at which we align with the energy of the universe, which is why meditation is so important.
During meditation, we bring our brain down to the alpha frequency and relax our body. In this process, the barriers in our consciousness dissolve, and we become able to communicate with the universe and our subconscious. As our conscious mind is deactivated at the alpha frequency, connecting with the subconscious becomes easier. While the conscious mind at the beta frequency acts like a guard at the door, keeping every thought under control, these barriers disappear during meditation. This allows us to clear away negative emotions and thoughts, giving our minds a chance to rest and renew.
A 30-minute meditation session can provide as much energy as 5–6 hours of sleep. During this time, we can engage in creative visualization by imagining our future, our present, and ourselves. Creative visualization involves bringing to life in our minds—in full detail—the things we desire as if they had already happened. However, what’s important here is to feel as though we are experiencing these visions in the present, not in the future.
Meditation Techniques and Practice Methods
Meditation is known by various names, such as lotus, breath, or light meditation, and can vary depending on culture or need. However, the perception that meditation is difficult, burdensome, or something not everyone can do is incorrect. The fundamental goal is to practice in a comfortable position that relaxes the mind and body.
When meditating, you can sit in a comfortable chair or lie down on a flat bed. Choose clothing that isn’t too tight, and make sure the room temperature is comfortable. Start with your toes and gradually relax all the muscles in your body one by one to feel yourself unwind. As your body relaxes, your mind becomes ready to attune to the frequency of the universe.
Using Colors to Relax the Mind and Recharge Your Energy
During meditation, you can focus your thoughts by concentrating on the third eye area at the bridge of your nose. Visualize the colors red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple in sequence. Then imagine yourself in a peaceful place, such as on a mountaintop or by the sea. There, feel the energy of the universe flowing into your body.
To rid yourself of negative energy, you can imagine standing beneath a flowing waterfall and letting this sacred water cleanse you. This process soothes and rejuvenates both the mind and the body.
The Purpose and Benefits of Meditation
The primary purpose of meditation is to relieve stress, recharge your energy, and clear your mind. It is one of the most effective ways to free yourself from the negativity of daily life. You can also use creative visualization to reinforce your dreams and remind your subconscious of the life you want.
This simple meditation technique can be practiced at any time of day. During stressful moments, you can relax with a short session and clear your mind of negative emotions and thoughts. By incorporating meditation into your life, you can lead a calmer, more peaceful, and more energetic life.
